Kirby Morgan is pleased to announce our new communicator & charger for the KMACS-5.
We will begin shipping KMACS-5s with the new 415-107 communicators October 2010. (No price change at this time for the 400-046 KMACS-5)

To learn more about all the improved features & functions of our new communications system, please read the following carefully!
The new 415-107 Communicator and new charger 415-030 replace the previous 415-105 Communicator.
The new charger 415-030 must be used along with the new communicator. (As always, a charger is included with every KMACS-5 we ship). The older chargers (405-039) will not work with the new communicator.
The new features are:
415-107 Communicator:
1. The push to talk has been redesigned to enable the tender to choose Diver 1, Diver 2, or both.
2. In two wire mode a switch is provided to allow cross talk: Diver 1 to Diver 2 & vice versa.
3. The new circuitry will contribute to noise reduction.
4. The 415-107 Communicator will retrofit into earlier models (KMACS-5, DCS-2, 2As) but the storage boxes on earlier units will unfortunately not accommodate the new 415-030 charger, so it cannot be stored inside the earlier air control systems. Again, if a customer wishes to upgrade or is needing a replacement communicator for an earlier unit- they will also require the new charger 415-030 along with the new communicator. (The battery stays the same-no change).
The current headset 415-145 is compatible with both the new 415-107 and the previous 415-105 communicators.
415-030 Charger:
1. Has a built in voltage adapter (for international use) which automatically converts from 110 to 220 volt with an appropriate external plug (220 power cord not included).
2. Has electronic current control which allows for indefinite battery charging. It may be left plugged in and will automatically charge when low battery detected, and automatically turn off when battery is fully charged.
3. The charger can remain plugged in while the panel is in use, i.e. the 415-030 charger and 415-107 communicator can be operated simultaneously.
4. The new 415-030 Charger is not compatible with earlier communicators.

The previous 415-105 communicator is now discontinued.
The 415-145 Headset is compatible with the new 415-107 communicator. The earlier 405-039 Battery charger remains available.
The KMACS-5 (DCS-2A) battery 415-056 has not changed
No price change at this time for the 400-046 KMACS-5.
